CLARENDON FINE ART

Interior Design Concept and Branding

Lynrace Studio was invited to develop a strategic concept design for the refurbishment and modernisation of Clarendon Fine Art’s flagship Dover Street gallery, repositioning the space as a 21st-century brand and cultural destination rather than a conventional retail fit-out. The work began with a deep exploration of Clarendon’s brand values aspirational yet accessible, authoritative yet playful and how these could be translated into a spatial experience that is felt as much as it is seen. Our proposals framed the gallery as a hybrid environment, borrowing cues from hospitality, wellness, domestic and cultural spaces to create a calm, immersive setting that encourages longer dwell times and deeper engagement with the artwork. The concept explored materiality, light, scale and sequence to balance clarity and warmth, allowing art to remain central while subtly enriching the visitor journey. The resulting vision set out a new model for Clarendon’s physical presence one that democratises fine art while reinforcing the brand’s contemporary authority and commercial ambition.
