A meeting place for Oxford's creative community

Creative Thursday is a monthly social meet-up for Oxford’s creative community, bringing people together on the first Thursday of every month at a different venue across the city.

Established in September 2022 by Lynrace MMXXI and Rona Painting Gallery, Creative Thursday grew from a shared enthusiasm for Oxford’s creative scene and a desire to bring more of its people together.

Oxford has an extraordinary wealth of creative talent, but opportunities to meet people working across different disciplines can be surprisingly limited. We wanted to create something informal and welcoming, where artists, designers, architects, photographers, musicians and other creative minds could connect, share experiences and discover what others are doing.

Since then, Creative Thursday has become a regular fixture in Oxford's creative calendar, taking us to galleries, studios, cafes, pubs, bars and other interesting spaces around the city.

Whether you work in a creative field or are simply curious about the people and ideas shaping Oxford’s cultural life, you're welcome to come along. It’s a chance to meet new people, exchange ideas, find inspiration and see where a conversation might lead.

No formal introductions, no set agenda and no pressure to network. Just good conversations and the possibility of something unexpected.

First Thursday of every month. Different venue. Open to everyone.
